Bagong Salta

I've been in Doha for quite some time now.  But I'm quite unproductive right now since I am waiting for something "good" to happen.

This morning, just to make the most out of my situation, I called my friend Holly because I want to walk in the Corniche.  It's like Baywalk in Malate minus the bright lights.  Its a long stretch along Doha bay where people can jog, walk, bike and a lot more.

We started the day with a ferry ride.  It costs QAR 100 per group.  Honestly, I didn't find the view attractive.  Is there any view other than the buildings?  Anyway, we just took photos inside the ferry.

Taken in front of the ferry.  I need to hold my hair because it was so windy.

Holly and Ivy.  Both were my colleagues in Cebu Pac and now in Qatar.

Souvenir?

After the ride, we walked along the bay and took some pictures of ourselves.  It was a very nice day and the weather was great.  No sun but as expected the temperature was quite hot.

Holly was my batchmate in Cebu Pac before.  Holly and Ivy were batchmates during college.  And they're both batchmates again here in Doha.  Isn't that cool?

I was attempting to capture a jump shot but unfortunately, I was not successful.  I think I need to explore and learn the features of my camera.

Doha Pearl Fountain.

In front of the Doha Pearl Fountain is the Souq Waqif where people can eat and shop.  There are different animals and lots of souvenirs for sale.

Souq

Can anybody tell me, is this a maltese?  Because the vendor keeps on telling me its a maltese.  I think its not a maltese but its from Malta.

It was my first time to see a colored rabbit.

I dont know why they are selling these birds.  I can see lots of them outside my window.  Hmmm.  Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

Holly misses her dog so much she even kissed this "Maltese" (Dog from Malta).

These are nice souvenirs.  Qatari people action figures!  OKAY.  Figurines.

Look at this! A Qatari snow dome.  How I also wish it snows here in Qatar.

After strolling around the Souq, we ate in a Malaysian restaurant.  There are lots of cuisines but we chose Asian to be safe because I don't like experimenting  on what I eat.

With Holly's batchmates.

It reminds me of tahong chips.  Great appetizer by the way.

It was very nice spending my day with Holly's friends.  At least, I survived the day, boredom free and not thinking about my medicals.

See you girls again soon!

THANK YOU HOLLY AND FRIENDS!
